First of all, when I held it in my hand and gripped it or just held it, I thought that the corners of the cut are well processed so that it feels comfortable even if it is not ginormous.
Also, I may be a sensitive person, but there was a slight smell and greasiness when I opened the package, as if the drilling oil was not properly degreased during the barrel processing.
If this is a treatment to prevent rusting and haze before the product reaches the user, then I take my hat off to them!

I have purchased Red Dragon barrels in the past and they were not greasy, so I am writing this here as an in-depth opinion.

The feel of the barrel is like a torpedo that is as close to a straight type as possible... but there is something different from a torpedo, and if I had to say, it is like a straight variant.
From the end of the barrel, there is a straight diagonal ring cut of about 9mm, followed by a micro cut of about 5mm, and the uncut portion is about 4mm, and the rest is a large ring cut. The diameter has been gradually narrowed down to the front with changes that are not noticeable to the naked eye.
(I don't have a caliper or micrometer at hand, so I used a Shinwa scale for the measurement.
The maximum diameter change was visually confirmed on a horizontal board using a light, so it is a little vague.

The weight matching of the barrel itself was 20.15g±0.01 for my barrel.

The barrel end is almost flush with the el shaft, so there is no messy border between the barrel end and the shaft, so those who use tapered barrel end like Torpedo can feel secure!
If you want to treat it like a straight barrel, the micro-cut is a good sign.

This is the end of my long-winded article, thank you for reading it.

Out of the box, it was oily and sticky, and there was a normal buildup of chips in the screw holes.
To sum it up simply, it was dirty.

The threading accuracy is also bad.
I mean, it's not as bad as the unicorn barrels, but for the price, it's the worst I've ever seen.
The threads of the shaft and tip are obviously worn out after repeated loosening and retightening.

The barrel is too thick and tapered for a straight barrel.

This was my first time throwing straight, and since I normally use a 4-finger, I was able to throw more consistently than with a short torpedo. The cut on the back of the barrel is a good grip marker and also prevents the barrel from slipping out of the grip. The straightness of the barrel makes it easy to tell if it is good or bad, so I will be practicing a lot with this barrel. I think this barrel is perfect for beginners like me who want to make their debut with a straight barrel.
