[DMC] 4BA Explorer ACUTE 18g

4BA tip only.
NEXT WORLD STANDARD
The world's first ACUTE that is machined from the barrel.
A new concept born from the pursuit of technology.
This dart, which has been sought after by many people, has acquired a utility model and has become a world standard soon after its birth.
The outline assists the user to have a grip that is pushed out from the very back of the barrel.
The center of gravity is placed slightly behind the center of the barrel, despite the fact that it is an Acute.
The center of gravity is placed slightly back from the center of the barrel, making it easier to control for players who grip the back of the barrel.

I got hooked on Explorer and bought my 4th set.

When I bought the first set of barrels, I threw the barrels with the cobblers for a few days, but I found that the release felt better when I held the barrels around the DMC logo, so I have not used the cobblers since.

I recommend the Raro 330 or a slightly longer shaft and a smaller flight for better control.

By the way, I use Fit gear shaft hybrid No. 6 + W shape.

I used it with a longer shaft like KTM said.
I was releasing it as if I was pushing out the back indentation, which is more of an indentation than a cut, so I think it can be used for a long time without worrying about it shaving.
It is easy to throw with the side cut, so I think you can use the grip in two different ways.

The barrel makes it easy to know where to hold and throw at a glance.
You only need to use the taper at the rear of the barrel to throw it, so even if you are not comfortable with your grip, it will be fine.
The center of gravity is located at the back of the barrel, which matches the taper of the barrel, so it is very easy to throw and handle.

I was given a used item that was so worn out that I couldn't tell if it had a cut or not, with no DMC stamp.
However, I am very satisfied with it.
I couldn't tell the difference when I compared it with a nearly new one for test throws. I am not the kind of person who relies on the cut to throw the barrel, so even without the cut, the hollow in the back does a great job. I think the cut is just a guide to know "I'm putting my finger on this area right now".
The barrel itself is also accurate but with a rear center of gravity, which is a balance that is not so common. I think you can make the most of the characteristics of the barrel if you use a flight with less buoyancy than the slim type.

This is a tapered design that can only be done by Acute Design and has one more cut on the BURN 2009 Nomura model.
This tapered tip with no cut at the tip is quite good.
The way it gathers when greasing is extraordinary. It is so that it sticks in the neighboring bit.

The center of gravity is slightly in front of the cut position, so it flies beautifully for a back-held shape.
It flies straight from the release point.
The cut is deep and the grip is moderate, so it can be used with 2 fingers and 3 fingers.
