I think you can transition to hard darts without any discomfort.

I use it with a bristle board.
It is not easily repelled and feels as good as a soft tip, but wears out too quickly...

I purchased this for home practice.
There are six of them, so the cost, or lack thereof, is not a concern.

I still feel that they run out quickly because they are consumable, but I highly recommend them.

High performance tip that is easy to insert and pull out.
Simple design is also GOOD!

Advantages
Lightweight, throws with a soft, near-soft feel.

Demerit
It becomes round easily. It becomes shorter and shorter as it is sharpened, and sharpening is a pain in the ass.
