Cervet is very effective for polishing with paste (can be used for other abrasives etc. than this paste).
The chamois leather is made of natural leather, and it is a product to wipe off daily dirt and oil without putting anything on.
On the other hand, selvedge is made of man-made leather and has very few unevenness, so it is suitable for polishing with diamond paste.
It does not contain abrasives, so it does not have the same performance as silver polishing.
It is not a thing that polish processing returns by a product alone.
There is a case that the color is different from a photograph by the environment etc. to be seen.

I purchased the [joker driver] selvette.
The material is of good quality, the size is good, and it is very useful for daily maintenance.
I think it is good to have two or three pieces because I use them all the time.
I will buy the same one again when it gets dirty.

I use this to lightly wipe it down after each throw. I think it is enough to remove light dirt and dust. If it gets too dirty, I would suggest using a parts cleaner or something similar. It is not a large item, so I think there is no harm in keeping it in my bag.
