Mr. Nomura, a DMC barrel designer, recommended this barrel at Kobe FAREAST and I gave it a try.
The most important thing is that the barrel is thick enough to be pushed firmly and the vertical groove allows you to push it straight without any strange rotation.
It is a barrel that I have drastically reduced the number of times I aim at a 20T and miss by 1 and 5!

Cobra 1 is an ordinary barrel, with all due respect, but the vertical grooves are amazing. Pencils are not only circular but also hexagonal, so there is no reason why a barrel should also be circular. There are some unexpected advantages such as a comfortable grip. However, if you don't like the feel of the metal that is unique to DMC, it may be difficult to use. Of course, this is true for all DMC.

It is good for those who are looking for such a barrel because it is thick, has a fixed position to hold, and can be thrown with a firm weight.

At first I wondered how the vertical cut would feel, but when I gripped it, it fit my thumb very well and I felt more secure in my grip.

The barrel is very sturdy, so it feels a little uncomfortable at first, but once you get used to it, you can feel the weight of the barrel and throw with a firm grip without it catching too much in your hand.

One DMC player told me that it suits him as well.
What kind of person would it suit is someone who likes a thicker, gutted cut, back-weighted barrel.
As for the center of gravity, it can change as much as you want with the setting, but for me, who can grip the thick part and a tight cut is a must, this is the best barrel for me.
The wing cuts themselves are widely spaced so the grip is not as tight as you might think, but the shield groove cut is excellent. I can hit the dart firmly without it slipping out.
I have never bought two sets of the same barrel before, but I think this will be my first two sets in the near future.

If you haven't used cut materials before, I think the cut is too tight and you won't be able to throw it well.
I think the cut is too tight for those who have not used cut materials before.
I have been using Explorer, too, so I am not sure how to handle it.
However, when the arrow is thrown well, the cut makes it easier to throw.
I think you can throw with less effort if you want to make the arrow run more than before.
