It is very sturdy. I am still a beginner, and after a few hours of playing, there are always a few throws that come off the board or are bounced off the board and fall to the floor. However, I have yet to break one and the joint with the barrel rarely comes loose. I can throw it without worrying about it breaking, so I can throw it as hard as I want. I think I will choose this shaft from now on.
