I purchased a Phil Taylor G4 in the past and used the shaft that came with it as a test.
To be honest, this shaft is not suitable for soft darts, and even for steel darts, you need to have a good understanding of stacking techniques and how your arrows fly to get the best performance out of it.
There is no reason why there should be beginner or advanced darts shafts in this category, but the reason why it is for advanced players is that Phil Taylor is a steel darts player, not a soft darts player, and only started playing soft darts for the DARTSLIVE events. Secondly, Phil Taylor's flying style.
Secondly, Phil Taylor has a very special way of flying, especially in the grouping, and he throws the darts over two darts stuck in the target when stacking them.
To get an idea of this, watch Phil Taylor's Portrait Darts DVD.
In soft darts, the straighter you can make the arrow fly, the more envious people are of you.
However, the more you become a player, the less suitable this shaft is for you, and what makes it unsuitable for you is the fact that this special shaft is a connected type.
The easily replaceable aluminum tops are prone to distortion even after just one bounce out, and soft darts, which do not require stacking techniques and can be flown in a straight line, are prone to digging and stress, and there is no limit to the number of replacement tops you can have.
It is no exaggeration to say that this shaft is a signature model for Phil Taylor.

It is very nice that the shaft is metal, so unlike plastic, there is no danger of it breaking when it is played.
However, the shaft does not break, so it is better to think that all the damage will be done to the aluminum head and the flight. Aluminum heads bend quickly and are difficult to repair, and you will always carry several aluminum heads with you.
If you are not a fan of metal shafts, I recommend you to use metal shafts. If you have a metal shaft, I recommend it, but if you don't, I don't recommend it. The center of gravity also seems to be slightly behind the original position of the barrel.
However, some of my friends who love metal shafts say they can't think of anything else but this one, so although it is a bit expensive, I recommend that metal shaft lovers try it at least once.
