I use it on top of my carpet.
I bought it because of the low price and thought I would give it a try.

It is very light, so when I walked on the mat and went back and forth between the board and the throw line, it shifted right away.
So I don't use it now. You should use something with some weight, even if it is more expensive.

If you use it on the flooring, I think it is better to some extent.
