It is easy to polish the barrel, but if you polish it frequently, the cut will become loose.
The oxidized part is slightly removed, so it can't be helped, but care should be taken in its use.

I used it on a Target silica coated barrel and it brought back the bright brown color.

This cloth is designed only for cleaning barrels, so it is different from eyeglass wipes, tissues, and the like. I recommend you to try them because they are inexpensive!

It cleaned up very nicely. However, I tried using it on a used barrel and it didn't make much difference, so it is not OK for any barrel.
It might be better not to use it on plated ones.

I bought this barrel with high expectations, but I could hardly see any change (appearance) in the barrel....

You can wipe many sets of darts with it and it's cheap!
