"A four-fingered conclusion for a variety of situations."
In order to make a straight line trace, the barrel itself must be close to the line set by the eye and not stall.
The concept of this barrel was to reduce the initial launch angle and stalling at the final target point, and to make the barrel stretch out in space.

We reexamined the standard deformed shape and straightened the second half of the barrel.
The second half of the barrel is also straightened to eliminate the unstable arrow angle at the lowest point of the take back by making it fit the finger better.
By placing a short, sharp taper, while maintaining a constant feeling of gripping point.
Minimizing the power loss at the release point, so that all the power of the movement is applied to the barrel.
The barrel is designed to minimize flapping during flight, so that even if you are a tour player and have to throw at various venues
The straight part in the center of the barrel is set longer so that it can be used in various venues as a tour player.

If you use a compound cut, it will be more effective in certain places and seasons.
However, for players who play in different places throughout the year, the amount of information in the compound cut can be fatal.
The layout of the cuts is designed to reduce the ups and downs of the feel even when the humidity is unstable in different seasons and locations.

In order to keep the amount of information transmitted to the fingers constant, a continuous ring cut and a steer cut are used instead of a compound cut.
The 4 finger type player has to select the value and cut more severely because of the large number of fulcrum points.
This model is designed for players who have to fight throughout the year.

インタビュー

インタビュー今作はKTM.氏がバレルデザインを担当されています。今までとどのような変化を感じましたか？
風間佑太モデルさすが『プロ中のプロのデザイン』だと思いましたね。指の感覚や頭で思い描くイメ−ジが良い意味で手元に残らないので、体全体で投げるということに集中させてくれる。そんな信頼感のあるバレルができました。
インタビュー具体的な制作過程を教えてください。
風間佑太モデル最初に「指を見せて」と言われて、指の形状や爪の形、親指の幅などを計測して、KTM.氏のデータと合わせていく作り方でしたので驚きました。そののちにプロトタイプを渡されたのですが、KTM.氏から「どこを直したい？」と聞かれても、僕は「全く無いです」と答えたほどバシっとはまりましたね。
インタビュー前作では「バレルを長くしすぎるとイメージがぼやける」とおっしゃっていましたが、それをまたサルム2と同じ43mmに戻した理由を教えてください。
風間佑太モデルプロトーナメントに参戦し続ける中でフォームの変化が発生していますので、それに対応するためということです。 筋トレと同じで、筋肉が付いてくればもう少し重い器具を扱えるようになるのと同じですね。

僕の手の形状ですと全長の下限が42mmなのですが、そこにKTM.氏が１mmプラスした。ココがミソなんです！　例えば、44mmだとグリップディスタンス(グリップの幅)が広がりすぎてしまうため「遊び」ができてしまい、指先や手に余計な力が入ってしまいます。つまり、指を開くことに力を使ってしまうので、リラックスした状態でバレルを持てなくなってしまうんです。

バレルは「持っている」という意識が無いくらいリラックスした状態で使用できることがベストだと考えています。
インタビューグリップ部分のこだわりを教えてください。
風間佑太モデルカットの入っているグリップエリアはストレートに見えますが、実は0.1～0.2度のごくわずかなテーパーが入っていて、完全なるストレート形状ではないんですよね。図面を見ないと分からないようなことも、隠し味として加えています。

また、くぼみの手前が急激に立ち上がっています。この部分は、手からバレルが離れていく際に指が最後まで触れているエリアとなりますので、抜けやすくするためにカットは入れませんでした。3フィンガーで中央をグリップする方には、目印としてお使い頂けると思います。
インタビュー風間選手が行っている「ダーツを体全体の運動としてとらえる」という取り組みに関して、開始当初（2年ほど前）と現在における変化を教えてください。
風間佑太モデル感覚で投げることが無くなったので、大きく外す数が減ったと思います。自転車をこぐことを覚えたらその後忘れないのと同じように、意識をして体に動作をしみ込ませることによって自然にできるようになってきましたね。

その成果もあり前半シーズンでは優勝することができ、入賞も続いていたので好調でした。地盤が固まってきて良い流れでいるので、継続して頑張っていきたいと思います。
